Carsyn is 19 Months Old

I CANNOT believe my baby girl is 19 months old. I know everyone says things keep getting better, but this is such a fun age! There are new words, new phrases, new discoveries, new likes, new dislikes. I wish we could just freeze time a little to ENJOY.

Play- Your favorite thing to play with is probably crayons and paper. You like coloring books, but love a piece of paper. You can sit for 15 minutes and pretend you're writing. You also love books. Your favorites are Llama Llama and Goodnight Chicago. You come at momma with your little Chicago book screaming "Chicago."
You love to fill your shopping buggy up with random stuff and push it around. When you run into a wall you'll scream "stuck!" and stomp your feet. I've started asking if you're really stuck and you reply "I promise." You also really like your dolls. You say "Barbie" and "Baby" and "Naenae"..your favorites.

Talk- You talk all. day. long. You repeat every word we say so we're learning to be very careful! You are saying things like "Where's mommy at" "I got you bird," "Maggie (her big doggy sister) made mess!" "Thank you much," and your favorite is "I WANT__________" usually milk, minnie, paci, outside, and mommy. You shout "I did it" when you climb a step or do something you're proud of.

You've began to say Mad-dox instead of Max. You know Mommy, Daddy, Rosie, Pops, Granny Granny, Papaw, Nantie, Wobby, Mel, B, and Danny. You say and point to nose, ears, teeth, eyes, knees, and feet.

You are the pickiest, most frustrating eater ever. If it wasn't for yogurt I think you'd starve. Some days you like mac n cheese and some days you don't. You have a huge sweet tooth and have to have pancakes for breakfast!

You're still a good little sleeper. You now go to sleep anywhere from 8-9 and sleep til 8. A few mornings you've been getting up at 7. I think you were having teeth issues. Right now you have so many coming in...all 4 eye teeth and a few others. Thank goodness we got those molars through! When you get sleepy at night you will say "night night." You also sleep with your baby and ask for it when you are in your crib. The first thing you ask for in the morning is usually mommy, followed by cookie!

You weigh 21 1/2 lbs and are 31 1/2" tall. Pretty much all of your clothing is 18 months. You love outside. I mean clap your little hands and hop up and down when we even mention the word. You like to stomp mud puddles, ride in the wagon, hang out in your lawn chair and watch the creek. I know there is no way I'll keep you out of the creek this summer! You could walk for miles outside. Pops says he's going to buy you a pedometer.
Oh, did you want outtakes? Strike a pose..
I'll be good mommy....see?
I'm trying to tell a story here pig!

Weekend Stuff

This was a busy, busy weekend but I've learned being busy means bedtime gets pushed back and baby girl sleeps in. Soooooo sleeping til 10 the past 2 mornings means a well rested momma :)

We took a much needed day off work Friday and went to Walmart. I hate Walmart and have learned Carsyn is at the age she wants everything. Fun. We left with a ball and Minnie Mouse lawn chair. Girl would not let go of the ball.

Saturday morning we played dress up with Minnie Mouse.

I had a dinner on Saturday night and got dressed up a little. I know getting dressed up will come to an end very shortly. sigh.

I left baby girl in capable hands with my inlaws and made the drive to Lexington solo. What do you do in the car alone mommas? I rock out to KOL!

I got into town early enough to drop in on my big sis and have some latte/girl talk time. Gosh, I wish we lived closer.

I'm still rocking the bright coral on my nails. I still love the gel mani, but good gracious HATE the time it takes to soak it off. Is this a minor complaint or do y'all have a secret method of getting it off?

Lilly..and Mother's Day

I said I'd never dress like my daughter. I lied. I kind of started the tradition of Mother's Day matching dresses last year and giddily looked forward to shopping for some matching Lilly Pulitzer frocks for this Mother's Day a while back. Like so far back it didn't involve being nearly 7 months pregnant when it rolled around. Yikes.

Don't get me wrong, Lilly has many dresses flattering to expectant mommas like the Claire and the Cherry. Finding a matching infant dress proved to be a bit challenging, but sweet Kim at our local Lilly store helped me out. Here it is:

Mother's Day

Lilly Pulitzer dress
$198 - bloomingdales.com

Tory Burch sandals
£195 - harrods.com

Kendra Scott earrings
$58 - endless.com

Tiffany Co necklace
$950 - tiffany.com

Do you match your little one?

Winter Picture Catchup

I think Spring is here!!! Yay! I've never hated winter..until I had a wild child outside loving toddler. Its SO HARD staying inside!

We had a great winter...Starting with a New Years Eve party at my MILs.

Carsyn loves getting dressed up..She loves wearing bracelets and yelling "PRETTY!"

As for those who always wondered where Carsyn got her petite little frame check out my MIL. Isn't she cute? That's my mom holding Carsyn...we look nothing alike, huh? Sad.

Valentine's Day came and went..

My desk even got dressed up a little...(Hi Mason, Hi Maddox, Hi Knox, Hi Sloane)

We got a fairly large snow and went to my in laws to enjoy it. Carsyn actually loved it, but didn't care much for sledding.

DVF......for Carsyn?!

I adore Diane. I mean drool over her dresses on a weekly basis. Every woman should own her classic wrap dress. If I have a special occasion coming up I always go to Neimans, Saks, or Intermix and see what she has to offer. She never disappoints and in fact is the only designer I wear the hubby actually compliments me on. I have dresses in my closet 5 years old that still look great.

Obsessed..

Fellow girl mom blogger Mel sent me a little message if I had seen DVF's baby Gap line. How did I not know about this? My sister called and asked if I'd bought the collection yet. Thanks ladies!! Carsyn is now all set for Spring in these little numbers:

Easter

We started Easter morning going through the Easter basket the bunny left for Carsyn. As enthralled as she was by everything it lasted about 5 minutes. She did eat an entire peanut butter egg for breakfast though. And that made church super fun :)

After church we went to my in laws and my mom and dads to hunt eggs and eat dinner with our families.
