Project Pinterest

Are you a pinning machine?  I go through spurts of pinning, but I try to be pretty selective and pin only things I'm serious about.

When AP announced she was going to hold herself accountable I knew I'd try to join.  Will I be cooking a pinterest recipe every night? No (sorry hubby), but I would like to share the few pinterest projects I actually complete.

I have a thing for window seats and have pinned several.  This was one of my favorites.  I love the lighting and the big moulding around the window.

We had a room in our house just at the top of the landing which I called our TV room.  It was ugly, y'all.  When we found out we were having Hank the hubby convinced me we needed to turn the TV room into a playroom and our formal living room into a family room.  I knew he was right, but I didn't want an ugly playroom.  I still wanted a space the whole family could enjoy.

I whipped out this pin and showed it to the carpenter emphasizing our need for storage.  Here's what we came up with.

I'm so in love with this room.  We honestly spend 75% of our time here (and no its never this clean).  I love that so many of the kids toys finally have a place to go.

Carsyn can actually go to the shelf and pull down her tote to get to things inside.  We use these a lot-Its so handy to grab one when we go somewhere overnight and take some toys with us.

I use the cabinets along the bottom to store puzzles, coloring books, and the kids DVDS.  Again, Carsyn has access so when she want to play puzzles she can go and get them out herself.

The biggest change I made from the picture was opting for a toy box under the window seat instead of the open baskets- Some junk is just better out of sight.

So, let's see what you're pinning- go link up with the adorable AP!
