Ahoy! A sprinkle for baby boy

My sweet SIL and MIL hosted a sprinkle for baby boy on Sunday.  Despite the heat it was a great day filled with love and laughter.  I'm pretty much the luckiest girl in the world because I adore each and every person who showed up that day.

They did a nautical theme and everything turned out so very cute!

Does this little redhead remind you of anyone?  She could totally be the girl in Brave, right?

Carsyn was really excited that day and ended up taking a little nap in the middle of festivities.  She kept my SIL and aunt really busy.  Speaking of SIL she worked so hard that day and even ended up in the pool with baby girl so I didn't get a pic of us together-sad!  I hate when I don't get pictures of people!

Carsyn was screaming "dress off!" in this picture because she wanted to get in the pool so badly!  And of course her wish was B and Uncle Robby's command!

Lilly Shower!

Last Saturday we had a Lilly Pulitzer themed baby shower at my house. The whole family worked their butts off to help me get everything in order. My sil made pom poms for hours!! My poor sister was tying bows of tulle in the pouring rain, and I don't even want to know how long my mil spent carving watermelon!! My mom was pulling weeds an hour before guests started arriving. Everything turned out great, despite the rain, and my only regret was it went by too fast and I feel I did not get enough time to thank my guests. It was truly one of the happiest days of my life. To see everyone else's excitement and love for baby girl already is a true blessing.

My sister found these cute invitations on a shopping trip in Chicago and we decided we would do a Lilly theme for the shower..




We hung pink and green pom poms from every place we could and tied pink and green ribbon on anything we could think of..

This pic is of me opening baby's first fur coat from my grandmother..she has had 2 knee replacements and a hip replacement and does not travel so well..I stole this pic from my sil's blog and am so thankful she captured that moment.

Baby Shower!

Saturday was our baby shower hosted by my friend Bonnie. She is a beautiful, warm, giving lady whom I love with all of my heart.


Her daughters helped pull everything together and I think they did a wonderful job-

This shower was mainly for Shane's co-workers, who after many years have become our extended family. I feel so fortunate Shane's mom, sister,and her mother-in-law accompanied me. I had so much fun at the shower and baby girl got some serious loot!












While the girls were at the shower the guys got together for some swimming and corn hole.
